10 Plumbing Checks Before You Cover the Pipes

1. Have you confirmed that the installed pipe routes match the approved plumbing drawing, not just the plumber's preferred route? 2. Can you clearly identify and trace the hot and cold water lines before they are covered? 3. Have you checked that the pipe type, class, fittings, and materials match what was specified? 4. Have you inspected the joints, bends, and fittings closely for weak fixing, poor alignment, or rushed sealing? 5. Did you witness a proper pressure test, or receive clear proof that one was carried out before covering? 6. After testing, did you check around joints, walls, floors, and pipe paths for moisture or early signs of leakage? 7. Have you confirmed that drainage pipes have the correct fall — not too flat and not wrongly sloped? 8. Have you checked that traps are installed where needed to prevent odour and backflow problems? 9. Have you measured outlet points for wc , bidet. basins, showers, sinks, and appliances before wall or floor finishing starts? 10. Are all pipe ends properly capped or protected so debris cannot enter before fixtures are installed?
